7/2/2019 0 Comments 6 Must-Have Elf Products
I wanted to switch it up and write about my favorite Elf products. Most of the products are not new but, I will soon be writing about their new jelly pop collection launching July 10. My sister and I both have tried all the products mentioned down below. These are just our opinions and experiences with Elf products.
1. Elf Summer Breeze palette
The first product I wanted to write about is the Elf Summer Breeze palette. This palette always caught my attention and was on my wishlist. My sister ended up giving me the palette as a birthday gift. It's the perfect everyday palette and has darker shades for bold looks. If you are a beginner in makeup, this is a great palette. The shadows are creamy, blendable, and long lasting on the skin. Price: $10.00
2. Elf california baked eyeshadow palette
This next Elf palette is poorly rated online but, my sister and I love this palette. My sister bought two of the Elf California baked eyeshadow palettes on sale at Target. Since its a baked eyeshadow palette you need to scratch off the hard layer at the top. Once you do that the shadows will be easier to work with, very pigmented. Price: $10.00
3. Elf LIP PLUMPING GLOSS
Another product I would recommend is the Elf lip plumping gloss. My sister was looking for an affordable everyday lip gloss. She found the Elf one and decided to give it a try. This gloss is available in 5 shades and my sister bought Champagne Glam. My sister loves this gloss so much it's her go-to when she is running late and doesn't have time to apply liquid lipstick. It's a beautiful gloss but,it doesn't plump your lips that much. If you are looking for a lip plumper, this is probably not the best option. This lip gloss is perfect if you are looking for an affordable neutral everyday gloss. Price: $5.00
4. Elf Baked Highlighters
Elf has some great products like their baked highlighters. Many people don't like these highlighters because you need to scratch off the top layer to get the pigment. That's what you have to do with most baked makeup products. I own the shade pink diamonds and its very pretty. I use my highlighter as an eyeshadow since the shade was too dark for my skin. I am tempted to try the shade moonlight pearls because it would be a perfect fit with my lighter complexion. Price: $4.00
5. Elf makeup mist &set
For me setting spray was one of those makeup items that I thought wasn't necessary. I thought setting spray was just overpriced water in a tiny spray bottle. My sister bought the Elf makeup mist, we bought tried it and loved it. This mist helps when your makeup is looking powdery and cakey. It helps the foundation look natural and blend into the skin. The only thing I could say is that the spray bottles are sometimes defective. The spray nozzle is powerful so, spray it farther away from your face. Price: $4.00-$6.00
6. Elf fACE Brushes
If you want to grow your brush collection I highly recommend Elf brushes. I own many of the white handle brushes because they are super soft and affordable. I love the foundation brush for applying facial masks and skincare products. My sister loves to use the eyeliner brush to scoop out the last bit of foundation in her bottles. We both own the small tapered brush and it's perfect for highlighting. We find different uses for most of our brushes. The one thing I could say is that the handles crack and the top of the brush falls off but, they're only a dollar. These brushes are great for beginners in makeup who don't own many brushes. Price:$1.00-$10.00
